This may be a stupid question - What's the preferred way to eliminate the corner lamp wiring? Just leave it inside the bumper?

Im sure my answers are in here somewhere, but I cant find them!
The chrome foglight trim rings-Glue them on? They dont snap on.
Also, converting the new foglights to HIDs-Modify the housings to fit the bulbs?

Haven't seen any info about the pieces ordered from the dealer. There is nowhere to attach them on the new cover??
I just trimmed them & glued them to the cover with 3M windshield urethane.
Was this the correct procedure?

I used the three OEM E63 internal bumper supports (left, right, and center) and I just press fitted them into place onto the tabs on the inside of the Sunveer bumper. Everything lined up great, excellent fit. But should these internal supports have been glued to the inside of the bumper? The bumper feels secure.

The pics show you the originals actually have a place for the push pins to be install. The new cover does not. Also, the OEM inter supports I ordered (part # given to me by Gary),dont clip or push anywhere???
Look a the pics of them before I cut them.
Maybe the Dealer send the wrong ones?

Hi sc-c230, I ordered the three OEM E63 internal bumper supports from Parts.com (left, right, and center), part numbers: 2118801003 (R), 2118800903 (L), and 2118800703 (center). There are small tabs sticking up on the inside of the Suvneer bumper that line up with corresponding slots on all of the inner supports. The center inner support has two slots on each side that clip over the part of the bumper between the city lights and headlights. The inner supports all "snapped" into place when pushed firmly. I'm still wondering if they should have been glued into place like you did though? Do you have the same part numbers as me?

Look at my 3rd & 4th image above.
They are of the dealer installed parts on the new bumper cover before I cut them.
Notice the bottoms of them clip no where & I couldnt do anything with them. So instead of leaving them flapping in mid air,I cut & glued them.

Take a look at post 312 of this thread. There are pics of these brackets that are to be glued to the bottom inner corner of the bumper cover that provide attachment points for the ends of the inner supports that are left dangling. The part numbers for these brackets are 211-885-05-16 and 211-885-06-16. Well, I didn't use these and the ends of my inner support brackets are loose as well. I will probably just cut and glue them like you did.

Looks great. The only problem I'm having is the HID kit I bought wont work in the fogs. I modified the housings, bulbs fit great. I used the inline capacitors, just like I did for the Low beams(they work great),fog lights wont come on at all???
Only difference between the kit for the Low beams & the Fogs-Fogs are the slim ballast.
Anyone have any tips for me?

Hey guys, getting mine done right now. Should be done soon. Where can I find the black grille without the star that many of you have?

Your other option is to get the stock grille painted by your local body shop

FYI...in case anyone is confused that link is for E55.
Same company sells the E63 from time to time in black but is currently out of stock. They received a big shipment that was labeled black but was actually chrome.
The chrome is cheaper. I got one and dipped it. Don't really like the matte look on the upgraded front end.
Desperate for a pre painted black E63 grille without the logo!!!!
Seems painting the chrome one never lasts as long as the factory painted ones.
And yes, I lost both chrome trim rings within two hours of completion of the upgrade. DAMN!

Any of you all selling your old bumpers? What are you getting for them? Mine has a fresh paint job on it, so should be able to get a pretty penny for "an authentic AMG bumper" that someone with an AMG badge on their E350 would buy.
My bumper/spoiler shipped Thursday, but tracking info says it won't be here until the 8th. I could walk the trip from San Diego to LA and back in less than half that time, with the damn bumper.

Shop recommendations in 626 area?
Anyone from the 626 area (San Gabriel Valley) had this done? Looking for a shop recommendation.
The body shop I've been to in the past quoted me $1300 and they won't mess with the fog lights if its not plug&play.

The plugs are only very slightly different.
Either way, that body shop sounds dumb. My body shop remarked at how amazingly well this bumper fit for an aftermarket one. It was a snap.

Bumper fitment was great. Try Maaco on getting it painted, they can do a factory match (base coat + coast coat) for about $250 per bumper. Installation was easy, don't pay to get it installed.
Yes the fog lights are slightly different, but still fits , I used zip ties as well.
