Guidlines for replacing ignition coil?
My car is sitting at 107 thousand miles and it is my daily driver @ 100+ miles a day. At this point in my ownership, longevity is quickly becoming a high priority. At this mileage, I'm trying to think of all the things that will wear after so many miles, and things that I can proactively replace to keep the car running for as long as possible.
I have searched a few times over the last couple years and haven't found any instances of anyone replacing the ignition coils. In my experience with other cars, the coils tend to fail shortly after the 100k mark. Has anyone any experience with the coils - maybe with how long they can last, or maybe testing/replacing intervals?

They're super easy. I just didn't want to do them if it wasn't necessary. They're over a hundred a piece... Not something I want to do if I don't have to.

I just did my wires and went back to oem plugs.I was told that the coils will last a while and didnt bother. If you are not getting miss fires then the coils should be ok for a long time.
For piece of mind you might want to change them at 100k but I would just leave them until they start to show signs of wear.
