E55 Torque Convertor + box Mods
hey
guys
i know this may be a old question , but wanted some advise and info on what i can do with the box.
I see there a few companies out there who do mods but is there anyone who has had them done and seen any improvements, my main goal is for the 0-60 ft on the drag strip and a bit of street racing.
I have has the TCU mapped via Eurocharged already.
Is there any DIY Mods that i can do my self inside the box???
I have spoken to IPT and Southern Hod Rod but since i am based in the UK its expensive for shipping and Duty!!!!
Thanks Acid

I would question the friction in the kit? OEM, high performance, or standard linings? I went only with OEM parts on my rebuild. So far it is holding up just great. Car already has difficulty with traction, do you have LSD to go with that high stall converter? I just had mine rebuilt and reinforced, kept same stall.

Yeah
I have now got LSD just have to install it , there is nothing worrying with my box but just want to be ready for any issues.
What is the stall speed on a stock converter?

According to their website they use "upgraded" friction materials. Does anyone have experience, good or bad, with IPT, Trans Specialties, or Passaic County Transmission. They're all the same company.

We have the W5A700, the mopar versions use the 580. (not sure it matters when modding)
I am working on a electronic shift kit that should make a big difference, even compared to the TCU tune. Its not finished yet though, I think I'm going to be the first to implement it.
