That's a lot of miles. You should see if they have service histories. Also, I'd definitely recommend a PPI.

Car is overall in OK shape. Interior is well worn and paint job shows signs of normal chips and dings. As others have said get a PPI. You will more than likely not be able to get a warranty so bear in mind repairs are pricey as are parts. Don't treat it like a $17K car think of it as a $90K plus car when it comes to reapirs especially with that milegae.

Ok i understand I'm very mechanically inclined have worked on Mercedes before
so i can do most of the repairs myself. As far the engine and trans go these are pretty dependable right?

Just keep it stock!

The 4th wheel pic...wheel looks bent top, middle area ... There's also quite a bit of wear on the seats. I wouldn't pay more than $16K for that car.

I like how people diss on cars that cross 100k mile mark. What the hell else do you want for this price range. Do a full service (fluids, plugs, filters, belts) and drive it like you stole it.

As stated you can do repairs yourself, you may need some suspension parts up front but those are easy repairs as well. Do your homework and offer a fair price for it.

I didn't diss the car for having more than 100K. My car has that but I can tell you it's in way better condition than the car being offered on eBay. But as with any car over 100K miles things break. Hell I just had to have both rear subframe bolts replaced and the the rear body reinforced as the nut tore away from the mounting. Bearings also needed to be repalced, motor mounts too for about the 6th time.

Not calling anyone out specifically, my car has crossed the mark as well. Having done all the repair work myself, it doesn't take much to keep them up. I'm still on original motor mounts and bearings, but I guess that will be added to the repair list soon.

If he can get the car at the right price, I don't think it will cost that much to get it back in shape. Cosmetic stuff is always easy. High mileage cars can be good buys, but the most important thing is a strong service history.

I'm going to reiterate the importance of a PPI. This will, if done right, forewarn you of any serious issues with the car and may help you decide.

I think $20K is fair but reserve some cash for some repair and maintenance first. (At least $2K)

Mine will be up for sale this spring. In storage right now which is right below me in a heated underground garage.

2004, 23,000 miles. Nothing wrong with it. No accidents. Paint is a 9.5.

Black on black with black wood trim.

No nav
No phone
No TPMS
No Radar Cruise
No Pano
No Sunshade
No massaging seats

I do not drive it enough to justify owning it anymore $30,000

$30k is alot for a bare bones E55. Even with the mileage.

I dont think so, low mileage not ragged cars are harder and harder to find. People will pay for that.
