Z06 or GTR, Z06 will hold its value if you get a good deal and the probalby the most reliable car I've ever owned, had a 03 with 30k miles for $35,000, 3 years later sold it with 60k miles for $30,000, changed the oil, ran mid/low 12's daily...
I love the GTR, just heard its not a "drivers" car, that its wonderful, but dumbs down high speed driving...

Gtr is not a cheap car to maintain... Brakes, trans flush, diff flush will eat up money very quick

Thanks for the constructive responses here. Corvettes are not my thing partly because my dopey brother-in-law has one. I like the Lotus, XJR, DB9 and NSX suggestions, especially the last one. NSX could be cheap to purchase and run and hold value spectacularly. And rare as hen's teeth. Am also fond of the Z8 but they are pricey and my next door neighbor has one in the garage (along with a Kleemann CKL55).

Comparing a 190SL and a 911 Turbo?
You want something that is not slow but list a 190SL, which does 0-60mp/h in 12+ seconds?
In that case may I present the all new 2012 Toyota Corolla "S"

P car if you are ready to spend some money to keep it for a while. My boss has a C4S and a Panamera Turbo and they are not cheap to own when they are out of warranty

+1 on a 993tt. They're rare, and if you only keep 2-3 years and keep miles reasonable the car will the be same $ or more when you are done. they are not the fastest but there's not much out there better looking IMO and they are consideredby many as the best looking 911 ever.
downside...you must have a good mechanic that you trust. Cost of ownership can but large. But that probably could be said for anything you are looking at.
997tt's values will continue to drop and especially when the 991tt comes in inthe next year or two. Just something to think about.

993tt is a very cool car. Fast, reliable, and within budget. I do a lot of my own work so it's just a matter of sourcing quality parts. Thanks!!
