Suggest a Cool Car For Me <$75K
Will be in the market for a car soon and interested to hear your suggestions.
Considerations -
1) Cool. Car should be cool but not vulgar. Cool means interesting, well styled, not slow, and potentially rare.
2) Depreciation. I will likely only own it 2-3 years and would prefer not to take a bath on the depreciation. This seems to eliminate most (perhaps not all) late model MB, BMW, Audi, etc. Your thoughts?
3) Insurance and Running Costs. I have no interest in giving my paycheck to the insurance company every month. Prefer to avoid outrageous insurance bills. I can deal with low gas mileage but lighter cars are preferred.
Cost is not a huge consideration as long as depreciation is acceptable. Would prefer to stay well under $75K.
My initial ideas -
- any Alpina BMW including the Z8.
- Nissan GTR
- Audi RS6/RS4
- 1968 MB 190 Convertible
- Porsche Turbo Cab

Anybody else think it's weird that this guy joined in 06, this is his first post, it's in a W211 forum, and he says he wants to avoid a MB? Not to mention he wants to avoid BMWs but wants an Alpina?

GT-R for best all around sports car.
Z06 if you want a monster.
Porsche 911 Turbo if you want something that won't take a serious hit in depreciation.
Newer Jaguar XJ-R becuase I think they are beautiful.
I personally would get the Z06.
