Trying to catch up on the thousands of unprocessed photos I have lying around since last year. Though installed a while back, some pics of the E63 conversion I completed at home. Everything was done in stages, bumper first, grill last, etc. Not my daily so I just took my sweet time.

Process was strip old OEM bumper, paint bumper, both fenders, and blend into hood along with a full clear of the entire front clip. All completed in my garage. Cough Cough. Everything color sanded and finalized with Menzerna intensive, Wolfgang, and polished out with Pinnacle Signature II.

Front grill, mesh, and fog inserts were painted GT-R K11 as I am shying away from black. I located some factory matching mesh for the side bumper gills and painted them the same and attached to the inside of the bumper. Prefer it to some empty holes. The black wheels will soon be gone for something else which I will paint the same color-just patiently waiting for some non chrome local wheels to come my way.

Star lowered, but I think I will drop the front a tad more next time I hook it up. Anyhow, enjoy.

Silver is very, very difficult to get a perfect match on, even though I like to put in a little bit of clear activator in my base to 'smooth' and 'blend' out metallics, it is still very tough. So I blend the bumper into the front of the fenders and into the front of the hood, and clear everything. This way the color match is dead on. It is tough in pics with various angles, but the color is spot on with no excuses. When you see silver cars on the highway, you can see how often painters have a tough time matching silver.

I also had a small booboo on the drivers fender anyhow and I cannot stand chips of any sort......

If I did a conversion, I think I'd follow in your footsteps on everything except the black front grill. Those wheels looks spectacular along with the blacked out badges.
