Yeah all based on the year. I have the split folding style on my 03 and prefer that style. Do the ribs get full of dirt easily in the sliding cover?

I'm LOOKING, hence why I noticed the difference... ![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)
is there a list of difference between the 03-04 and 05-06 models somewhere?
from what I have read on here, most people say to go with the latter- but why? (feature wise not mileage/age of course)

as you can see, there is an '03 above with the proposed '05-06 center armrest - so it may not be year based.
there's nothing BASIC about a Mercedes, maybe not as customizable as a Porsche, but there are a LOT of different options.

Mine's an 06 - identical to the first pic.
Jay, if you get the release buttons glued on properly, you shouldn't have any more issues

Thanks ajm55 ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
so - the ones who have the center console like the first pic - is your bezel around the shifter always aluminum colored?
and the ones with the center console like the 2nd pic always come with matching wood trim?

The 03s have the pop-up armrest and flip top cup holder lid. The 04s roll back. The 05s are electric and open and close with a button hidden under the seat. The 06s has a floating center console. Wherever you want the console to be, it will be at that height if you hold you are in the exact position for 16 seconds. The 06s, being magical, don't have any buttons or need manual opening either.

some people like their cars to be unique, and you always learn more after you buy - there's nothing wrong with learning from real owners that's why these forums are here - right?
When my wife and I shopped for her Denali, we looked at dozens of them and finally came back to one of the first ones we looked at because it had a particular version of the Denali interior that wasn't like any other and have enjoyed it since. When other owners see our truck, they wish they had bought one with our interior...
I don't want to be that Mercedes guy
