Wheels...

Are such a royal PITA to shop for.

Too many different styles, and then too many choices when you choose a style...

What made you choose the wheels you have? Quality? Aesthetics? Weight? Durability? Drag use? Value?

I got my current set because they have DRs mounted. They're also 18s so I don't have to worry as much about potholes.

I think your wheels look great. thinking about making a change? I was lucky to buy my car with the sl65 wheels but seeing all the awesome rides on here makes me want to make a change not to mention save a little weight.

I went with HRE M40's.
Ive always liked the monoblock mesh style.
Plus you know your getting a great quality wheel when going with HRE.

I couldn't agree more. So many options with pricing and offset and sizes... all of which are so hard to find the actual numbers for. ..PITA

What do you all think about running a 20" forgestar F10s

They weigh about the same as stock, and you don't see a lot of E's running them

I actually don't like much F10....... F14 is much better. For 19" F14 is only about $1500

I think I would prefer the look of VMR 710s to F14... I would prefer a set of M40s or MB1s from d2

Nope never hit a pothole, no bends... 3 of his 4 wheels

Wheels were straight as an arrow. A few friends who are wheel fiends suggested that's common on welded 2 piece wheels such as the DPEs he had

I agree it can be a ROYAL PITA, if you know your budget that helps to narrow things down ALOT. Also the type of style you want, purpose you want to use them for, ect. Good luck, any help I can give I will.

My set of ST-7s, 3 of them cracked at lip of the barrel one nearly 2/3's of the wheel. DPE wants $400 per to repair. all on daily driving not a specific or single extreme pot hole case...

(white line between lip and tire is the crack)

I've never heard of so many cracked wheels/rims in my life...

are you guys running really low aspect tires? (i.e. no sidewall) or just diving into potholes? LOL
