Progress

Some of you may remember my previous thread of me picking up an 04. It's been sitting for most of the last week and a half because I found that my transmission pan was seeping. I finally came home to 3 boxes from UPS and Fedex today and decided it was time to begin working on it. I'm a strict DIY'er as I don't trust anyone else touching my cars.

Few pics from this morning:

And the work begins:

Yes, they're phone pics. I'll bust out the real camera when the car has fresh fluids. Eurocharged heat exchanger on the way still. The Meziere is one heavy pump! Thanks to Shardul for all the info!

Everyone likes the rims, but they're nothing special and fairly inexpensive. I think they're VMR's or something like that. As for modding, I'll stay conservative for a little while until I get a better feel of the car. Just doing all the fluids and filters first. I think my IC pump is weak or dead so I picked up the Mezeire, but I figured it would be pointless to do just the pump, so thats where the EC HE comes in. Its a chain reaction I tell ya.....

Did you get the trans pan gasket and filter? Consider replacing the 6 oil pan screws as well. It's gonna be a messy fun..

Yea, I got the whole kit. Was only $15. The screws can be reused as long as they aren't overtightened and stretched.

I bought it on autohausaz.com. Part number is in the picture above (yellow Mann box) It comes with the filter and gasket only, don't forget to order the copper crush washer for the drain bolt. No need to replace the pan, just clean it up and clean off the magnet in the pan.
