Im thinking about this E55 and needed help
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...nd-event-check
I can get this tuned from Veloce Performance for just under $23K. Mechanically I'm told it's great. New front struts, new rear brakes, front brakes are at 85%, new tires, two tone leather, and vented seats.
But as you can see in the pictures that there are issues with the front and rear bumpers. The front is missing a small piece and the mess up front is pushed in (granted that might not be a hard fix) but these other thing worry me a little since I want it 100% and not sure what I'd need to fix them or how much.
So my questions are, for this price would it be worth it for the condition it's in? Mind you this is with the tune included..Other then cosmetic issues, I think it looks amazing, but always like to hear others thoughts
Thanks
Gregg

I would personally pass on it, paint looks really dull and you can tell the car was not keeped up very well im sure who ever had it or the deal fixed what ever they could that would boost the price up a bit. Just my .02. Goold luck with your search.

How much does the E63 conversion usually cost nowadays?
Well I trust Dino for saying its a good car for the price. I work with his step daughter(small world!)
I'm not thrilled with it being in the north east it's whole life, but my first E55 was from NY also...
I'm torn at the moment. I need to get more info on it then from what I've gotten. I'm limited in my options since I still have my E55 so I need to go through a dealer

I agree with the previous poster, it's an $18K car. Paint looks awful - run through a commercial car wash all it's life and never waxed or detailed. Actually, I'm not even sure it's worth 18 given the body damage.
Nexen tires aren't worth having, even if they are brand new.
Forget the tune and go for something in better condition and/or lower miles. It'll be a better car.

The tune is coming with any car I get from Dino. So I need a car in my price with the options I want. So far this one comes the closest. Mechanically I need the car to be sound.
How does this one not meet that?

Bottom line if you're budget is tight run from this car! If they've trashed the outside like this can can fix small things, get a detail for eBay, I guarantee the rest is not good either!

Right now its easier to get it tuned already as opposed to asking for it later from my wife. ;-) plus i have to trade in my car so right now its easier to get it done for me. Im not stuck on the car, just the service being offered

Sounds like your taking all opinions here with a grain of salt and will buy this car regardless
Never a good idea to buy a expensive car like this under duress/pressure from elsewhere

On to other things....thanks again guys for everyone else's input. So, am I to believe now that even though there are service records that it doesn't matter, and that it's a piece of crap because of the paint?
And no, I'm not set on it. I'd rather have a 2006 with 15K miles, but that's not gonna happen for $25K...
I guess I could look around to see how much tunes are from ppl like Kleemann, but I'm isolated here in Oregon.
