Texas property taxes are high as a result of cheap real estate
They are about double what it is in Miami.

Semi-Seriously, what's the difference between the red & blue statements? Commercial vs. residential? I just had my house statement out over the weekend, getting organized for income tax season. But damned if I can recall what color it is now...

Red is Plano. Blue is Allen. Not sure about the other cities though.

$24,000 in property taxes? If thats 3 separate properties, I would sell at least one.
In our area there are big swings in tax rates and accessed values to the point we avoid buying in certain areas.

Same thing here in the Milwaukee area. Same priced homes can be more than twice the property tax depending upon the area. We just bought outside of Milwaukee county and saved 5k or so per year. I told the wife that money goes to my mod account.

LOL - if you've noticed, the regular # of members in the W211 AMG forum has grown from about 200 to 300 on a daily basis in the past month...

I'd agree with that, had taxes reduced on my properties as well last year. Had a great broker who ran the numbers, and it was pretty apparent the difference from 3-5 years ago - Stinkin California housing market is still dwindling...
