Anyone eliminate the EVAP system?

I did this once and then I found out that by disconnecting the EVAP solenoid the LTFT's will not work. So I connect the EVAP solenoid by it's self and the LTFT's started adjusting but every so often I got a red screen on my cluster stating to check my fuel cap or something like that. So I was forced to install it all back how it was before.

Has anyone found a way around this? Will disconnecting the baro sensor in the fuel tank fix the error message?

I do not know why you would want to do this. The only way to disconnect it would be to have it coded out of your ecu if that is possible.

I'd scan it for codes to see if there's something in there that's not triggering a warning on the dash. Might still cause you to fail an emissions test if you have to worry about that sor of thing.

Clean up the engine bay. I don't mind leaving the solenoid connected, but I can't stand the huge red light in my cluster. The CEL was bad enough, so I got rid of that too ( opened up the cluster and blocked the light bulb...lol. )

I don't understand what you mean about NOT triggering a warning light. I want to get rid of the system but it IS triggering the warning light ( not just the CEL, but the red infocenter light ) and do not want the warning light to keep coming up every time I drive the car. Can I just unplug the baro sensor in the gas tank? I don't care about CEL's and the light is blocked, I just don't want the red light.

As for emissions....what's that?

Your garage will likely stink like gas after removing the EVAP.

When I had originally removed it I noticed no difference in smell.
