I've used Conti's, PS2's, NT05's, Eagle F1 Asymmetric, Bridgestone, Falken, and Invo's. and after all those I would choose the Nitto Invo's. They are great in the rain and at the track. Wear life is really good. The NT05's are freaking awesome, but they only come at 6/32nds. And not full tread depth. This is my honest opinion, and you will have to choose for your self. Good luck in your venture.

Tread depth with the NT05 is 7.2/32...which is still shallow.

I was on PZero's for the last few years and really had no complaints but switched to Invo with the new wheels to see the difference (if any). They are fantastic, much better traction on the track and a nice smooth ride on the street. I'll stick with these from here on in if the wear is the same or even slightly worse than the Pzero.

For the street and track, the bridgestone RE-11's are very good. The michelin's mentioned above are also adequate.

I went with the Conti DW.. Great all around street tire (wear, not noisy) and on the track.. Even ripped a 1.79 60' at NED with them..

i'm getting a new set of Conti DWS

the only reason I'm doing this versus the DW's is the wear is 580 vs 380 - although the traction is A versus AA

the Michelin Super Sports have the widest tread width of 10.1" (on stock 265) which is over an inch wider than other tires...

the 275 widths are much closer in size - here is a pic of tirerack pricing and tire sizing

this is for 245/40-18 fronts and 275/35-18 rears

Michelin PS2 here...which is not the latest and greatest. The Michelin Pilot Super Sport is the latest iteration

Wow you really are a clown.. Once you punch it, your going to wish you went with the traction over wear.. Why would you put on all season on a car like this when you dont need it?

one has to learn... right?

I had just purchased these a few months ago for my 'other car' and they were pretty darned good, and every shop I've talked to recommends them (even when they're cheaper than other brands) because the feedback has been really good on them. check the ratings, they have good wear and overall usability year-round...

it's not like I'm driving in snow, but added traction in the rain always helps...

I grew up driving Mustangs in 3 feet of snow, with studded winter tires - so I don't think it's obscene, just smart for how I drive...

The E55 has HUGEEEE traction issues...I cannot imagine how I would be able to drive even remotely quick on 500TW tires...LMAO.

I have the new pilots, no grip off the line. It dances like it's ice skating. I'll give it credit for being quiet though.

treadwear on the PS2 is 220 which usually means a softer compound rubber. I had to look hard to find the PS2 but I managed to find them recently.

I'm happy with my KDW's. Great in the rain. Good traction in the dry but holding back 560rwtq isn't easy on 275s. I'm going to give Invo's a shot next. If I go 20's I'll do the V12s though.

The DWS is a great all-season choice...but not on an E55.

You are going to be really disappointed with your traction & the torque will melt them anyway.. Spend an extra couple hundred and get a gripper.

I have a set of Ventus V12's on my car and I'm very happy with them.
