Maybe not to you, but tell that to the people who are constantly selling these vehicles repainted at book value. What can I say, a lot of people really don't care.

When i get tired of this, i can take it off and then i'll have my beautiful black back. My car is all original MB paint and if you have ever been in the car buisness you will know that a painted car is worthless, you may find someone who dosent know anything about cars that will buy it but taking it to the auction or any dealer that is a specialty dealer as soon as they see the paint work you are cooked. marcus you are right on the money. besides if you paint it and you get chips or a scratch or whatnot there is a high chance it wont match up right. me i'll just redo whatever panel i want haha.

I guess...not knocking on your car though cause it's sexy as hell. I've just never had issues with painted cars ( owning them or selling them ) as long as they are painted well.

painting a car does not make a car worthless... i have yet to see any free cars being given away due to it having been painted. its not like we are talking about a rare original paint model T..

painting your car will devalue it no less than having a reported fender bender on it.

I remember one of the member painted the whole car from silver to white for $6k...... who also just did the 63 conversion. Love the new color but can't justify $6k for paint.

And there you have it! Devalue it will indeed! I wouldnt buy a wrecked one either and they are worth less as well.

tell that to barrett jackson auctions where previously wrecked and or restored cars (and not always to orginal factory paint codes) go for much more than final auction price of $0 (aka worthless)

Worth less and Worthless have two different meanings. I think painted cars are not as valuable as all original paint in most cases.

in that case i agree as well as adding performance mods to cars make them not as valuable to the general public

OP... the car looks killer! BUT aside from it looking insanely awesome, would you do this again to another car? You know what I mean, its different from wanting something, then when you get it done.. sometimes you just wouldnt do this again... im curious to hear your thoughts. I'd love to hear your personal experience maintaining your car now that it is wrapped. Ive got quoted out here in CA for 2500-3k.

I would deff do this to another car. it is a great change and when its all said and done i can take it off and my paint is in the same condition. I would just make sure the guy who does it does the best job he can do and that calls for removing alot of things. i dont like seeing seams where they dont need to be and or creases which there arent any on my car, the maint isnt to bad you just gotta get a certain cleaner and for the tough tough stuff you use blue nail polish remover with a little water and its back to new. Next wrap will be matte burgandy to go with my merlot interior. let me know if you have any other questions.
