Here is the issue I see with planning a date. If we plan on a weekend we might be able to have more people join us, but the track will be very full and we will only be able to do a few runs with a lot of waiting time. Or the other option is to go during the week after work and we will have a pretty much open track to do as many runs as we please, but going during the week does present some issues with people's availability.

Planning an open house this summer, but everyone is more than welcome to stop by the shop anytime and say hi. Come over and see a couple 1100hp kits getting installed!

Thanks
Aleks

I think a track day in the middle of the week would be a good idea im sure we won't have a big group but if we get 5 to 10 of us to go would be cool im down either way. But i think week day night runs at the track would be a good idea before the weather gets to hot.

There is a new program at GreatLakes this year where you can rent out the track on select Fridays starting at noon, have it till they open at the regular time and then keep racing until they close. If people are not opposed to a mixed group of cars I know of a few others that may be interested...and I would also bring my Cutlass out as well.

Whats a good central spot for everyone? Ideally we need a large parking lot near food options.

I agreed with bnzuovr that meeting place in Schaumburg is the best choice. What about the Starbuck parking lot located in Schaumburg next to Dick sport store and there are lot of restaurants.

Some of the restaurants would work. We just can't park in the mall parking lot or else the rent a cops will kick us out.

Any suggestions on restaurants? Ive done a meet before at this place and it worked out well.

http://theram.com/illinois/schaumburg.html

open to others suggestions though. Keep them coming. Also dates that work for everyone. Weekend would be best for me.

Hooter, Buffalo wild wings, portillos, tilted kilt, Fudruckers, my cousin and his vw guys go to all these places and never have any problems all of these are off of Golf road and close to each other. Ram is a good spot to.

Seems like Schaumburg is optimal place for everyone. Let's just choose a place and go for it. Next time we go for something else.
Ram should be just fine dont know if they are ok with us parking there. We can also do hooters or parking lot right next to it to be on the safe side. It's the building of Institute of Art. Back in my couledge days there were always someone thursday night meeting there.

If you want to meet in Schaumburg the shop here at Speedriven is only 5 minutes north off of Euclid Ave. We can meet by the shop, check out some projects and head over to Schaumburg to grab some food!

Thanks
Aleks

I think they (Ram) are ok with us parking there because we bring them business if someone just to talk to them.

Yup - there have been large car meets at Ram before... no issues with it. We can do this + Speed driven might be a good mix for this time then mix it up to another location next time. Buffalo Wild wings, etc...

Any suggestions on dates? Im open most weekends.

Sure - Im up for doing that first. I did talk to one of the organizers of the event to see if they could secure an AMG section. Unfortunately he said no reserved spots this year, so only way to do that would be to come super early together.
