Yes it would to be honest, it does make a difference. You will have better throttle control, more low end hp, better shifting, and will see 1-2mpg savings.

$350 (cash prefered- and you still get free ec tunes for life!)

Gotta help out my homies...

Wow this is very tempting. As I just bought my car I don't know much yet about what to expect with tune alone. What type of gains are typical with this? Would an additional tune be nessesary to add a pulley later on?

Thanks!

Hey Nick, 25/25wtq Big difference in shifting, throttle etc. Yes, you will need a retune for the pulley, but once you pay once, you don't pay again for reflashes!

Hey guys not sure if there is interest in this, but was thinking of building a E55/63 community board for us local Chicago guys. This would be a standing board to list Chicago based events / meets, chat, sell stuff locally etc.

Ideally if people are interested it would be nice to get a routine meet going. I did this with some of my BMW M friends as well and its nice to have the local community.

The site I built is listed below if you guys want to check it out.

http://www.amgpost.com

Also started a thread on a periodic meet. If you think your interested please post your preferred frequency, location, time, etc. I'll look at what everyone submits and come up with a standing meet.

Link here to contribute your thoughts on a ongoing meet:

Thanks!

No problem. Will take suggestions from here as well but if we can get comments going on the other site it will give us a standing place to make updates etc for all of us in Chicago. Burbs will work as there is generally more parking.

Also I am including other meets / events / track times / car shows etc within Chicago. If anyone has other additions please let me know and can consolidate this as well. The link below has sone of the ones i know about so far:

http://www.amgpost.com/forumdisplay....Meets-(Chicago)

• Road America October 7-9 with NASA
• Super Car Saturdays
• Timmayfest, OH - BMW/Mercedes Benz/Exotics car meet put together by true enthusiasts
• April 1st tilted kilt schaumburg 10:30ish

It looks like my car wont be back together by the weekend. Can I bring my ECU & TCU to the meet for a tune or does it have to be in the car?

Hey Folks,

I just got a check engine light to pop up. I checked the engine, and it's still there... sorry, couldn't resist...

Went to Autozone to pull the code and it's coming up with p0456, "small evap leak detected."

I'm out of town in the next day or so on biz and won't be back until Saturday at some point, so was wondering if there were any simple diagnostics that could be done when we meet up on the 1st.

The gas cap looked fine to me, but what the hell do I know...car is performing fine as far as I can tell, but again, what the hell do I know?

Thanks in advance!

Check your gas cap. Make sure it clicks. I normally tighten twice.

I'm hoping it's just user error and I'm retarded and didn't know to keep turning the gas cap...which is entirely possible. On a side note, I never top it off.

Thanks buddy. May end up owing you even MORE beer. Paid after diagnostics of course, don't wanna get you drunk before poking at the car...

May take several ignition turns to reset this! It's not immediate.

Should I just tun on/off a buncha times before leaving work tonight? I apparently never click that cap twice, so that might have been it.

No, I wouldn't suggest that. What i mean is, it might take several times of driving for the ECU to run a diagnostic and update. Or try a sneaky ECU reset and see if that works. not sure on that though. Sorry.

Stupid question...and sorry for totally hijacking this thread...does sneaky ecu reset effect my EC tune at all? Meaning, would I need to get it flashed again?
