So I did the 5-3-7 hack into the COMMAND unit and this morning, the slick AMG logo showed up, but now most of the detail (except for major roads) is shown in my NAV display
I had to reset to personal mode for NAV display and have everything selected from churches, hospitals, schools, etc...

noticed this while driving around - but still no roads showing up beyond major ones... (they used to be there)

tried searching, but not finding an answer...

and yes, as I said in the first post - the reset put the NAV back to standard, but I changed it back to personal options and have everything selected still the same

 

I am not overly versed in the Merc Nav but in the BMW system, the nav unit has main arteries but relies on the DVD for details. Could always check the unit in the trunk to be sure this disc is clean or didn't get spit out. Check the most obvious first.

 

Move the car out of the garage first.

 

Try ejecting the DVD Nav Disk from the drive. Start the car without it and let it run for a couple of minutes. Then shut it off, put the dvd disk back and let it load up. Hopefully this will do it.

I would try the DVD in/out in/out thing. Maybe it needs a reboot. I can't imagine the logo change doing that. I did it on my '08 and had no issues. Obviously very different hardware then.

 

Maybe if certain people would quit cluttering up threads with useless posts. We could more clearly see the responses that matter. Making searching for the answer to this question in the future easier. Requiring less new threads asking for the same information because users are fed up of reading through pointless banter.

GayMg nobody knows the solution because never happened before. See, this is only for AMG car and how many people has done it and with issue ? So far, he is the only one in this so if he can find a solution then great for the next guy.
