OIL: Must use Mobil 1 SuperSyn European Car Formula 0W-40 or Mobil 1 ESP Formula M 5W-40 holds 9.0- quarts with filter -No engine oil dipstick, must check level on instrument cluster.
FUEL: unleaded PREMIUM of at least 91 octane, capacity 21.12 gal.includes 2.38 gallon reserve.
COOLANT: Mercedes-Benz Anti-corrosion anti-freeze # Q103 0002 holds 13.8 quarts
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: 8.0 quarts of special MB trans fluid-DO NOT USE DEXRON! Mercedes Part number 001 989 21 03 10-No transmission dipstick, do not remove cap!
BRAKE FLUID: DOT 4 PLUS, (4 +) holds 1.1 quarts
POWER STEERING FLUID: MB Power steering fluid # BQ 1320001holds 1.1 quarts

If you are referring to the red "plug" that can be seen from looking down on engine, it is the check engine oil level port. It is, however, without a dipstick. If you wish to manually check engine oil level, you need to purchase a dipstick to check the oil level from this port. It is also used to extract engine oil using an extraction pump (will only extract oil from the rear section of the two section oil sump pan). Trans fluid check port is hidden between the passenger side Surge Tank and firewall.

Sorry I meant it more rhetorically....it does not appear the engineers wanted people to actually look at the oil...probably smart as most people don't and better to just have a computer check...
