So I have searched for this issue here and elsewhere to no avail. I noticed a few weeks ago that the panel fitment between the license plate and upper Benz emblem had an uneven gap. This weekend, I removed the panel and saw that one of the six clips that held the panel in place was worn causing it to pop loose.

Dealer tells me I have to replace the whole panel,,,bah! I know I can just get the clip somewhere, anyone know where to source them? If any interest, I can do a DIY for this when all is done. I have noticed 2 other cars with same issue. If I am just a bonehead and this info has already been covered, please point me to it. Thanks

Good question. The are very similar to interior door panel clips but smaller. Plastic push clips?
