2006 E55 AMG

STAR and IBM t30? Why?

I have a question, why is STAR mainly limited to an IBM t30? And every other laptop has to run a virtual machine for it to work? What's different about the t30?

I do not know but Shardul does. When I got STAR I also ordered the IBM t30 from ebay at a cheap/good price.

You could use other laptops as long as you have an authentic star software that you can install. Serial adaptors are no longer needed since you could do a serial to usb adapter.
