For some reason when my friend got into my car, I got a message saying that the passenger airbag was deactivated, then I got a notice that it was activated.

Then, after that, I kept getting a message that would not go away that the airbag was activated... It stays on whenever anyone is in the passenger seat.

thats normal as you didnt shift into P, just left in D and brakes..

yup, pressure switch in the seat....you probably shifted into P...and this time you didnt...

What do you mean by that though? When I'm stopped at a light or something?

If you leave the car in D and open the door to let a passanger out/in you will get that message. If the car is in P you wont.
