If you love this stuff like I do, I highly recommend this. Nothing but HD goodness, including the onboard footage.

Gus posted pics of him sideways at the track on one of his bikes (it was a great pic and definitely captured his extraordinary high skill level) but the guys who run the TT are flat out insane. Even the top MotoGP guys are in awe of them (one of the best clips is when Valentino Rossi is shaking his head at what these guys are doing). When racers crash, there's gravel pits, track specified run off, minimum safety zones. . .etc, when the guys at the TT crash - its usually stone walls and unfortunately, a hearse. It's not the skill, it what everyone else so accurately stated - it's the *****....

Well said brotha I saw those pics of Gus racing Elliot, I also know exactly who he is, poor brotha had his shoes stollen not to long ago off his sled.

I am sure he has mad respect for the Isle of Man TT riders, as it stated in one of the captions, one TINY little error, and your life flashes before your eyes, before you hit a concrete wall at well over 100mph, which is certain death.

I am going to order that video, as my 3yr old son is obsessed with watching it on youtube, we have to watch it daily

I am not complaining

One of the guys from my local bike shop actually went there and raced and said it was the scariest thing he's ever done. I dont know what class or anything he rode in but i know they have pictures of him on the wall from there and doing a wheelie past the fans on what looks like the opening ceremony or something. I've raced motocross at a high level a several years ago but couldn't imagine racing like they do.

I know, every body knows Gus. Sorry I was drunk as FAWK last night. Lol. Them boys are bad azz thought. I only wish I could do that, but no bikes for me. The wife says I can go as fast as I want as long as I'm in a car. Lol

BTW I need some more info from you on the Silverdollar drag event.

You know the saying don't you. With age comes a cage. Seems like most top bike guys venture over to car racing after they get tired of getting broken up on bikes.

I did motocross as well. I tried to get into FMX but after getting married I stopped and with good cause since I only broke an arm during my 12 years of MX but the injuries I've seen with FMX is just insane. Travis Pastrana is living proof but the guy has my utmost respect, the man is insane It really is about bragging rights and people like him cannot be argued with

The only bigger adrenaline rush than taking a bike around a track that i have experienced was jumping out of an airplane. The IOM might match that.

I used to race bikes back in the day. I had a brand new 2004 GSX-R 1000 as a track bike. If I could spend on my car what I spent on racing for one year... Well, I'd have a really fast car. I had to call it quits because life is expensive with college, kids, strippers, etc.

isle of man is the sh%t !! basically rally car racing with bikes on pavement, on imperfect roads and anyone thats riden on both road and track on a bike knows there is a world of difference in the traction and predictability of the bike between the 2 surfaces... going into a 45 degree turn at 100mph on a perfectly groomed track with smooth surface is much different that a road with cracks, dirt and pebbles...

mad props to isle of man riders over moto gp/ ama superbike any day

never tracked it as i need to upgrade the axles as i am still on stock ones and the 30mm inner spline wont handle too many 4k rpm launches at over 450 awhp... but on the highway the stock axles are still fine so i just havent changed the axles as i never planned to drag it. i care mostly about 60-130mph type of performance as that is where 99.99% of my races take place on the highway since i travel from miami to nashville quite a bit also the audi has over 195K miles on it

but the s4 def a faster than my e55 with longtubes and EC tune. as its prob at about +50hp more and 800lbs less weight.

at any speed less then 60 mph it blows the doors off my e55 due to the traction differences. I can floor it in the s4 anytime pretty much without much problems while with the E55 annoy MR. blinky comes on ---> lol
