Bro...do a search on here...you may have all kinds of different issues. It could be:
1. Accessory Battery under hood...about 60bucks from Autozone
2. Main Battery in trunk
3. Voltage Regulator...35 bucks from https://www.autohausaz.com

There are write up on how to change each of them, pretty easy to change out and not to expensive.

and lastly it could be your alternator....hope that isnt it cuz its about 900 bucks just for the part!!

Hope this helps! I just went through this...I changed the Accessory battery and have a new VR that came in the mail today!

Josh

Get them both checked. And order a vr to be safe. That seems to be the culprit of wasting everyone's batteries.

I dont see why not, as long as it holds the same voltage or more as the stocker. Optimum make damn good batteries, you should be golden.

$900 for an alternator is insane, their are shops that will rebuild the windings on any alternator for alot less...thats good money towards performance upgrades

I personally would advise against an Optima. There have been a ton of reports of batteries dieing very quickly the last few years. Quite a few theads floating around about the problems everyone has had since they started to be made in Mexico. Many aren't making it a year even.

Optima has gone so far as to hire a guy to troll boards for these types of threads and be a salesman for their product rambling on and on about why it's not a problem and we all must be doing something wrong. Google "OptimaJim" that's the name the guy signs up as and hunts for bad reports on Optima's to replay to.

Here's one thread I have recently been active in on this topic.

My car is on jack stands right now. Old one just came out. Taking a coffee break then new one goes in. After this is done I doubt I'll be posting in this forum anymore. It's just to political for me.
