First electrical problem...
1263 miles, 3 weeks old....
Started car this morning and was greeted by a scary high pitch static squeal coming from the dash (not speakers). The stereo cut out and the sos warning "drive to workshop/dealer came on the screen) Stereo states "cannot communicate with audio" and doesn't work.
I hope this isn't the beginning of inconvenient trips to the dealer for software glitches!!

There is a software upgrade for problems like this. I had static occasionally. Software seems to have fixed it. Had same problem with my E500.

Mine is acting up exactly like that, I got the download and still doing it sometimes, the lead team guy from MB here locally showed me a easy way to bypass the problem while I take it in for service. It's really annoying...but besides that no problems.
