Does a tuning required for LTH?
Do you need a tune to run LTH with HI-FL cats? what happen if you don't get a tune? Any inputs are appreciated. TIA

AMG, I noticed you have an OE Tune, do you ship the ECU out to them and did you notice any HP increase with the Tune?

I have OE also, although mine was a custom tune, I know they have guys around everywhere who can flash it, just email them and ask them, custom tune is always better though

Since they are local to me, I drove to OE Tunings shop and had Jeremy tune my ECU.
I noticed a very big gain in HP, around +62 RWHP with 2ndary cat delete and K&N filters.

I bought my car with some mods and the custom tune, Jeremy came to Florida and tuned a bunch of guys...I have to get retuned again since I have added some stuff and he will do a remote custom tune, no sending of the ecu

Thats what I was thinking but EC will be here April 14th I believe, not sure how many people we can get. I need to get injectors installed, front mount HE, Killer Chiller and def. need a new tune. Im going to try and get it all buttoned up by next week.

Yup, I was told to goto japtrix and have my looped fuel rail, injectors and ported tb installed there and then use their dyno to tune it via Jeremy but would be a lot better if he was here

Yea, thats the dyno I've used for tuning with Jeremy. I also used Ragetek just to see what the numbers looked like. I would use Nemo for the install since he's familiar with the MB platform.
@Peter I gained 30hp and 40tq with my first box tune from Jeremy, I got my car dyno tuned after installation of the pulley and headers. You will feel the power from a box tune if you cant get it on a dyno.

I wanted to have the fuel system and tb installed at Nemos also but many are telling me I shouldn't be driving with the new injectors as I can harm the system, so no choice, Nemo did my headers install last week, his dyno reads lower than the mustang at japtrix lol

OP, you can buy the remote cable from Jeremy OE or Jerry from EC and they can "take over" your laptop and download the tune to your ECU. Thats how mine was done in 30min.
I drove 2 wks with LTH and pulley without an updated tune. Car sounded and felt like a 60s camaro at idle and very rough. After the tune, idle was spot on under 600 rpm and not fluctuating up/down like before.
