Running 82mm throttle body on stock tune ?
Hello,
My DD is a G55 AMG 2010 model, it has the same engine as the rest of the 55K M113K cars.
I've had it for a year + now and for the time being I'd like to modify the car.
I thought of Renntech Airbox, 82mm throttle body and Johnsson Pump?
I dont want to lose my warranty and I've asked the service advisor that these parts wont void it if the tune is stock.
will I face any problem with these modifications running on stock tune ? will it run worse than the stock car.

You go lean for sure, but I wouldn't advise to go WOT on the car, I was with Headers and pulley tune and then added the 82 mm TB with HE an pump, didn't tune for few months and car runs without any problems.
In your case will be easier since I believe the G55 has 80mm TB already, can someone confirm that?
If you have flasher (OE Tuning, Speeddriven, or Eurocharged), you will be able to switch between tune and stock in a matter of 2 - 4 minutes by your self.

either way, I will advise you to re tune and have the flasher as I told you. I am not sure if they will check the tune or not, the worst they will do is to re flash ECU so, you can put back the tune easily with the flasher.
