Nice find mang, check on the lowering though, to make sure it is indeed lowered, and not airmatic going out.

 

Do yourself a favor and
1) Get the car on a ramp and remove belly pans and check for leaks etc.
2) Fill the car with gas (top off) and verify no smell of gas from driver-side rear wheel well / arch
3) Take the car onto the high way and do at least 6 runs at WOT to ensure no heat soak

Yep sure does have heated seats but its an 03 so theres no nav I guess/KNOW you cannot be too picky if you want to find a deal

 

NAV is crap in these cars, just use your smartphone when you need it. Panoramic roof will creak like mad too, enjoy the new beast.

Yes, the Pano roof makes a lot of noise, yet it is totally worth it.
Also, the seats are NOT COOLED. They are just vented and not worth it.
The seats do next to nothing on these cars and unless you plan on modd'ing to with a bigger fan, not worth making a deal or not.

Condition is most important and I agee with almost all the statements. Just Vented seats are the biggest dissapointment to me. My favorite is the Keyless Go.

maybe it's just me but I don't think it's a steal. probably a fair price given the condition if all checks out, but no steal imo. if i were in your shoes, i would hit up rock and try to negotiate for his clean 05 with less miles.

 

He got this car for like $10k less than Rock wants.. Cant really compare, plus he already bought this car so

 

Its a very well optioned and low mileage consider 03. Its a good deal or not depends on how the previous owner taking care the car. See, someone like me who change oil every 3k miles which is stupid but at least i know my cars are in excellent condition inside out. $10K more than Rock's car is a lot ...... 50% more than what he paid for. 3 years 03 was still close to $30K !

 

i haven't see how rocks sale was progressing, but i did read his initial thread asking members opinions on price and what to do with mods. seems to me i remember he was thinking 23k-25k after taking mods off but like i mentioned, i didn't see how that turned out. i did think however that what he was thinking sounded like a good deal for the 05.

 

Correct about the seats being vented, but they do seem to work well on my E63. Granted, the effect is stronger if the fan is on higher and the A/C is on in the car.

 

This is all a bit interesting to me. The bottom line is that these cars are a losing (financial) proposition. If someone gets mine for $29K, they are essentially getting a car that has close to $130k invested in it and has been meticulously maintained.

If I don't sell my car, then I will trade it in, part it out...... and move on. Unfortunately, someone will eventually pay too much money when they purchase my car from a dealer.

 

I totally agree with you. If someone buys it from the Stealer than they will pay way more than they could have from you. The only problem is that this site is more for people who have the cars. I know I joined when I was serious about buying one. I would have brought yours Rock in a heartbeat. The way it sits right now, with those nice rims. By the way, are those rims you first had on for sale.?

I live in NY and looked at a 2004 E55 that was White with a Pano Roof. A kid was the owner and it had 95K miles on it. The Father of the kid wanted $ 18.5k for it. Yet, it was beaten pretty bad. It need a rear bumper, it had two accidents on the carfax and the airmatic system was leaking badly. Everytime I saw the car it was almost on the ground. The car sounded like crap and the supercharger made strange noises. Bottom line, this was a super deal if the car was in good shape. It was raced, beaten badly and needed body work. Clearly it was a kids car who abused it and it even had the mirror broken off of it. I wouldn't have touched that car for 10K. Sometimes a Super DEAL, it NOT A SUPER DEAL. You are better off knowing the history of the car and knowing what you are buying.

I ended up buying an 2004 E55 with Perfect Service records. I was upset when it came, yes I brought it without seeing in it person, without having SAT Radio in it. Needless to say, I brought the parts and put it in. I now have SAT radio working perfectly. So, somethings can be added, like my Bluetooth Puck with Tail. Which I just added too. I brought a car with 54K miles on it and like I said Perfect Service Records and the previous owner going thru the Gas Tank issue too. He got it fixed and I have the records from the stealer to prove it. Nothing beats buying a car that you can sleep well at night, knowing it should not break tomorrow and cost you more headaches than you wanted.

That's just my humble opinion and I am very glad I waited almost a year to find what I wanted. I got a great deal and am extremely happy. My keyless go is my favorite and my Pano roof, noises and all, a close second. Of course the power when I push the pedel down is PRICELESS.......

funny thing is this is my car and no deposit was made. Tyler did contact me and said he was interested and i gave him all the info he asked for. Was supposed to pick it up this weekend but have not heard from him in two days.
