quick cheaps sales lead me to beleive that the car can possibly be a tag job which i have not seen in years but i am pretty sure they are still doing them.
had a friend buy a mustang a few years back from FLA for half of its worth thru Ebay and when they got the car shipped it was missing all the vin tags on all body parts except for the one behind the windshield . He registers the car and it comes back FLA salvage and he brought it to NY DMV for inspection and they took the car and located the rightful owner , of course who lived in FLA.
