One mean looking E

E55 AMG

One mean looking E

I found this on a website that claimed it's an E55. Looks more like a pre-2000 E class with some kind of wicked body kit. Anybody know what this is?

That looks like a Renntech W210. I believe they stuffed a V12 in the W210. Car and Driver did a feature on the Renntech E class some years ago.

Was it Renntech or Lorinser that made the 200mph E? There's one that runs around Diamond Bar and it's as low as a F1 car.

That is a RennTech E7.4RS. This car was tested by Car and Driver (I can't remember the exact month). The car has a 7.4 liter V12, and if I remember correctly, hit 197 MPH. The KLEEMANN E55 K set the world record at 338 km/h, or 209 MPH. I have the issue in my library, and I'll dig it out if I find the time.
