EC does stand behind their products and is a reputable company. But man do you need to get off your knees so much Toad.

I agree, EC has been fantastic (talking from my own experience here) - it's just the fanboy love/hate thing going on that is just insane lately...

Toadies, why do you have such a hard on for that topic? Your the only one that keeps bringing schit up that shouldn't concern you. You take schit out of context and create issues that weren't there before.
Example...

Wow Craig - did you just say EC won't stand behind their product?
Craig was even nice enough to explain it to you and your still humping this like a dog in heat. Go take your fkn car for a ride, look at ****, go for a walk, read a romance novel or a comic book, anything besides posting schit to stir the pot.

EC and UPD are two different companies Toad, you know that. UPD is owned by Brooke, and EC is a distributor owned by Jerry. Jerry stands behind his work and company, Brooke and Shardul do not, they are cowards, from what it looks like so far, set up these fly by night companies, put out untested products, collect payments and when something goes wrong with a product, run and hide under a rock. Another signature move is to shift blame.
JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS, TWO MORE RTR PULLEYS FELL OFF CUTOMER CARS IN CANADA THIS WEEK. They were sold to them on 4/28, and they came off this week. How do I know, because there shop called Buckhead-imports performance for the pin kit. From the claimed 50 sold, 6 known redtooth racing pillows have come off now, that is 12%.
Just keep an eye on your blower pulley OP, word of caution brotha.

Ok, although I am a newbie, this is the 1st I've heard of such issues with crank pulleys. I just purchased a EC 172mm crank pulley kit with tune. Was this a bad idea? Should I re-think doing this mod?

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
1) Install error. May shops are worthless and screw it up damaging sometimes the very expensive crank.
2) The new RTR lightweight pulley is the one at question here. It has the swappable pulley from the hub. 4 known failures so far.
Your pulley which I believe is the older solid pulley is bulletproof provided the install is correct.

Thank you very much.
I had a chance to get out and really let it run yesterday and thanks to the guys at EC deleting the silly speed limiter I managed to eclipse the factory setting by quite a bit. ( With a great deal of satisfaction I might add!) This is the first car I've ever owned that can almost go faster than I'm willing to take it....

There are actually 6 that have dropped off cars, not 4 Pearlpower. Saleen01, the two pulleys that came off in Canada were sold to the customers on 4/28 when EC had there tuning day a couple weeks ago. The shop that did the install called BIP for their pin kit due to the failures. I will find out as much as I can for you and post the details.
Toad, I don't mind your comments to my post's, but please don't put words in my mouth bro. You just bought your m113k car, you don't know the history or politics that go on with this small performance world for this platform. I suggest to relax, sit back, do some research and stop plugging sponsors or people just because you bought one product from them. Us members are looking out for each other, we will always own these cars, whereas sponsors and bad vendors will come and go. Based on the recent events, you should be extremely happy this schit did not happen to your ride. Learn from it, and realize not everything that is put out for ours cars are the bees knees.
I was good friends and had respect for Shardul and Brooke, but as you can see, that has drastically changed. Some people, vendors are in it for themselves and themselves only whereas there are a few good ones out there.
