throttle valve issues

throttle valve issues
Hey guys, so I took my car to a certified Mercedes shop, they hooked up Star to it and the only code it showed was M16/7 which is "throttle valve signal...... internal fault." So basically I need a new throttle body. They also told me that when this happens the comp disengages the s/c. He drove it and said it was running like an E500 cuz the s/c isnt engaging due to the throttle body issue. Is this correct and has anyone had this issue with their beast? Is their any other Mercedes or any throttle body that will work just as fine?

I have been reading several conversations where guys have bought TB off of ebay, but havent read if it worked out or not or if they ha any issues. Is this safe to do? Can I get an Audi tb slap it in and it'll work fine? or any other mercedes v8 engine tb's?
