Cls55 1/4 mile trip

so i finally made it down to the track after the upgrades... stock my car ran 12.5@113. best I managed this time was 11.97@117. my 60' was pretty high for running DR's at 1.8... i think the box tune that I have on my car from EC has the talked about hesitation issues and it has trouble getting off the line. car definitely needs a dyno tune.

Car weighed in at 4400lbs with me in it.

my mods are as follows:
Kleemann Headers
175 ASP pulley
550cc injectors and looped rail
EC ECU and TCU tune

I did three runs, my last run being the fastest. Here are the time slips the videos. I was expecting my car to be around 11.5, but if i could get the 60' down to the 1.5 mark that should be possible

E55 about 3900Lbs without driver so CLS55 is about 300Lbs heavier.

Congrats on the times. Your moving in the right direction. It takes a lot of seat time to get your 60s lower. Keep up the good work!

Get that 60' down to about 1.6 and you'll be low to mid 11. Dyno tune and you're set

My CLS weighed in at 4200 full weight with a sub box in it (without driver)

yes definitely needs a dyno tune, the 550 injectors seem to be dumping a lot of fuel. it's too bad the TCU tune did absolutely nothing, i was expecting the car to shift a lot faster than it does

weather was mild. about 70F and 40% humidity. it did get a bit cooler towards the end of the night, but the track also got cooler and traction got worse

Get the 82mm TB then get Dyno-tuned. You will have to reflash for the TB anyway since it will lean you out.

What options do you have? Pano, trunk closer, etc? Spare tire in trunk, how much fuel?

My E55 with pano, trunk closer, electric rear shade, navigation, etc weighted 4180 by itself with right around 1/4 tank of gas and the spare tire in the trunk (35lbs?) with 19" SL63 amg wheels mounted on the car (rear is 56lbs, front maybe 52-53?

I guess if it had the stock 18s, no electric trunk closer, sun shade and no pano roof it could be 4000lbs.

cls55's never came with pano. I have all the other options, trunk closer, navi, dynamic seats, sun shade, alcantara headliner, etc. i weighed my car with my 360 forged 20's on it, which are about the same weight as the stock 19's i think. had about 3/4 tank of gas and with the spare in the trunk.
