Dealer charged me $172 for manifold studs and $96.22 for header nuts~Refund??
Hey guys ~
Just went to a dealer to order a exhaust manifold studs total 16 and
stud nuts and $268.32. Shall I return this and order it some where else??
I mean I didnt really know any other parts place where I can order these.
I know perlican parts sells some but they were under E55 category not
E63 . Plus I need new exhaust gaskets as well and those dealer was charging
$31 a piece . I need these to install my shorty header.
Anyone know where to get these parts online ~ and shall I just return it
and get it somewhere else ? I mean I've already paid it and not even sure
if I can return these since they are being mailed to my house.
Thanks and drive safe.

parts.com it is `~~ I'm gonna see if I can cancel the order.
Damn........Why the fxxk did I buy these at the dealer. stupid......
I was told by the tech guy, that you'll be better off with new stud ~
saying they were stretch bolts ~ so it might get stripped out.

I thought about it. My MBZ tech is doing the install and wasn't too concerned about the studs. He never called them stretch bolts though. Said they reuse them all the time unless they're in bad shape or stripped. If we need them, I'll get'em.

I almost bout the PLM shorty headers but every installer I talked to warned me about the manifold bolts snapping and having to drill them out which take about an hour each. Labor alone to install the shorties is like 6 hrs, and if a bolt breaks add more hours. Didn't think the cost of header and install is worth the 20 hp. My car is also a 2007 e63 with 118k miles so that may be the reason why they were worried about the bolts snapping.

I had some trouble finding anything, you might need to take one out and measure it. ECS tuning seems to be the best bet. They are not usually replaced, did you break one? or really rusty?

Not sure if this will work but has the same OEM part number from AutohausAZ " 11621711954 ". They are listed for BMW E3. Here is the link.
