ASP Supercharger Idler Pulley Humming

I been having a humming noise from the engine bay for the last 3 weeks so I took the car into the dealer. The hum is at idle and with acceleration/deceleration also. It sounds very muted. It can be heard in the car but very hard to hear from the engine. I have the Supercharger Idler and the Accessory pullies installed. Tech calls me today and said the Aftermarket supercharger pulley is where the humming is from. The replacement is 495 plus a 2.5 hour book time.

Now my question is has anybody had any humming noises from their set? My reason to question the tech besides the fact sealers want your money is shouldn't these pullies out last the OEM ones? Another thing which makes me doubt the tech is 2.5 hour book time. I installed these in about half hour and can do it fast now. What do you guys think?

I think that right there could be your problem. Installation error has blown many an M113.

That and RTR

I installed it about 2 years ago. Doubt installation has anything to do with the problem at hand.
I just added the time it took me to install. 2.5 hours book time to install a supercharger Idler pulley seems alot.

When I get the car back from the dealership I will take off the supercharger belt and see if the noise goes away.
Don't get too nervous, the pulley set I have was the prototype set. I bought them from ASP some time back. They didn't have any in stock so they were willing to sell the prototype to me as I needed a set bad. This could be a reason they are humming. Just was checking if any others had the same issues.
