Changing main battery at home
Has anybody had any luck changing their main battery by themselves without resetting all the convenience features and having to reprogram it? I hvent had any warning lights come on, but I can tell the battery is on it's way out when I listen to the car start.
Thinking about using jumper cables or a jumper pack to keep electricity going into the car while I slip out the old one out.

Form what I have see if the battery is disconnected for a short period of time you will only have to reprogramm the one touch window roll up and down.
This can be done by rolling each window up and down and holding the switch down for a couple of seconds when the window is all they way down and up

I used the Auto Barn site last year for my E55. Perfect fit and better specs than OE. Shipped to CA from NY in 2 days!! Here's a link to the E55 battery.
All the best

Basically hold each window lever up for 3sec once the window is at the up position. Sunroof hold down for a few seconds. Pretty much what its called as reset.
