Question Tire Road Hazard Insurance?

Do you think tire road hazard insurance is worth the price? Given the limited coverage (Michelin Supersport), the cost and the hassle of collecting I'm not sure it's worthwhile.

Collecting isn't an hassle, you just tell them and they send you a new tire.

Never even an option for me. I've only had one tire go bad on me (blowout) in my 17 years of driving. Seems like a waste of money.

I thought the PSS came with tire replacement by default and even towing support - the tire shop told me they are pricey because a LOT of service is baked in by Michelin as well...

It depends what kind of tires you are running and how many miles you expect to get out of them. I have always had great service with Discount Tire's policy on my other cars, but on the E55 I eventually decided it wasn't worth it for the PS2s I was running. It was expensive for those tires and I was replacing them every year anyway, so the possible savings of the insurance were pretty limited. If you run something with less grip and significantly more treadlife it starts to make more sense.
