That is absolutely insane! A lot of car for the money!
You bring this upon yourself.
Just stop.
Really? You just cant get over the fact that I'm 17 with an E55. Yea, my mom takes the keys away when I drive like an idiot, wouldn't your mother do the same thing if you were in my situation? And you also cant help but think its my dads car. It is actually in my moms name so I don't get raped on insurance. If you would like, I can dig up the title, and post a picture that clearly states this. I consider myself lucky to have this car. But according to you, I am just an ******* who drives daddys car. Hell, If you want I'll even take pictures of my debit card transactions showing that I pay for the cars upkeep. Now, if this were 'daddys car' Would I be the one putting gas in it and paying for repairs and such? The only thing my dad kindly payed for was a $1500 repair bill and a $550 set of tires... If you would like to keep posting slander about me, shoot me a PM. If not, stop posting in other peoples threads that have nothing to do with my situation.
Just stop.

While the GT500 is a sick car for sure, I can't help but like the Camaro ZL1 more. According to Motortrend and Car and Driver, they too prefer the ZL1. Mostly because, apparently, the only thing the GT500 does better is go in a straight line. Plus, I just love how the ZL1 looks ( although the GT500 is sick as well ).
What I can't believe is Ford insisting on sticking with the live axle...why? IRS has been shown to clearly handle the power and is better at everything else. I guess it's just to save money.

Sticker price on these is 67K. Market price is creeping to low 80s. They are not that far from AMG territory.
Only time will tell if the market value collapses
Case in point...low mileage 2012 GT500 are in the high 40s.

They sticker for $55k for base model and a all option convertible sells for $69k. You can buy them in the $60's on eBay right now. I'm guessing in 2-3 years they will be in the $40's

Here you go guys. This girl is an absolute monster, Ford made a good descision going to a TVS blower and stuffing 15lbs of boost down its throat, stock.
Throttle body, CAI, exhaust work and tune will put this car in the 700rwhp+ range easily, adding the twin screw giants will propel her into the 800rwhp+ range. NO AMG that I know if will be able to compete, it is GAME OVER
As Steve mentioned, list for the coupes are $55K, that is just insane for the complete package you get. Give it a year to year and a half of depreciation, and mid $40k's will be what they go for.
I believe this monster will be the new ZR1, ZL1, GTR killa in years to come.

I will buy one in a couple of years as well. I think they are going to hold their value pretty well especially given how much of a butt raping they are giving the competition. Not to mention Ford developed this on their own dime instead of on bailout money. That in itself makes it more appealing.

Do a search on Ebay and see what they are going for
2010-2012 GT500's pushed 540 to 550 hp. 2013 GT500 are rated at 662 hp.
Big difference, nonetheless a car to aspire to, however i dont think they will all depreciate to the 40s in 2-3 years

Obviously I'm talking about the 2013 GT500. Yes the 2013 GT500 stickers for $55k and you can buy them right now on eBay in the $60's. My best friend works at my local ford dealership and said the cars they have got in so far were pre-purchased and the last car that they had (grey with track package) had a MSRP just over $60k. In 2-3 years when the new has worn off and the new models with more power and upgrades are out I'm sure you will find these in the $40k range.
