Can anybody recommend a good professional window tinter in the northern VA area? thanks.

Check out LA Tint (http://www.latint.com), I've seen great results from them.

I second that. I had my 98 E430 done by them. Get the replacement warranty for about $15 and the metallized film. They use www.formulaone.com film.
