Guide to troubleshoot your E55
If your E55 doesn't feel right, you should
#1. Check the IC pump
#2. Disconnect the battery for ten minutes
By followed the two rules above have save me countless headache and $$$. And if your car do not start on a hot day
#3. Your CPS is toast!!

Periodically check your fuel pump relay.
Earlier cars a single relay which gets hot when it starts to wear out, causing the connecter to melt and have poor connection. It exhibits problems similar to a bad CPS. Replaced my CPS 3 times, not fixing my stalling/not starting issue. Replaced the relay and connector, no problems!
