Guide to troubleshoot your E55

If your E55 doesn't feel right, you should

#1. Check the IC pump

#2. Disconnect the battery for ten minutes

By followed the two rules above have save me countless headache and $$$. And if your car do not start on a hot day

#3. Your CPS is toast!!

Good luck with your E55!! And feel free to add any more #

Log IATs. Anything around 180 is a failing pump.

Sold - 05' E55
Right on -

It's as simple as 1,2,3. And #2,#3 are pretty easy to do.

Periodically check your fuel pump relay.

Earlier cars a single relay which gets hot when it starts to wear out, causing the connecter to melt and have poor connection. It exhibits problems similar to a bad CPS. Replaced my CPS 3 times, not fixing my stalling/not starting issue. Replaced the relay and connector, no problems!
