E55 oil change. Quick question

Hey guys, so I'm fairly new to the e55 scene and after using all the great info on here I completed my first oil change yesterday. I've searched on here and come up with a few different numbers, i have it at 150mm right now, but what is the magic number on the dipstick that is optimal for these cars. I have the Mercedes dipstick from the stealership. Thanks in advance.

u dont trust the gauge inside the car?

Did you measure how much you took out
should be the same going back in

Also the dipstick isn't supposed to go all the way in am I correct? Just until it bottoms out? Not that I dont trust the gauge inside I'd just rather physically see it.

I don't think MB made an engine oil dipstick for our car. The only one available was the transmission oil dipstick.

yes the dip stick tool will not go all the way in.
