Tranmission and rear diff service should be done. make sure you change the eletrical connector on the transmission this will prevent the fluid from wicking up into your TCU over time.
Just used the IX plugs on my car (tune only) and they are great.

You should ALWAYS check the gap on the plugs.... They aren't E55 specific plugs.

To which OEM? I am running the same plugs (LFR7AIX) and mine were delivered all over-gapped somewhere in the .050" range. The gap for an E55 should be .032"; though there are varying opinions on this, as NGK calls for .039 and my manual calls for .032. I think I gapped mine at .035.

Either way though, my plugs (ordered from Amazon) did not come pre-gapped and they were all in the .050 range.

Peeps,

I need to do this as well, as my plugs are original. Can you tell me the exact plugs you'd recommend based on my mods below? Also should I get new wires? Happy to buy them from a sponsor here as well. Have to support those that help me!

See sig for mods and for what it's worth, I live in AZ (Crazy hot right now), so any plugs that run, "Colder" are good I'm assuming?

Thank you in advance.

Alex

Alex - For your mods you should go one step colder - LFR7AIX.

FYI, the temperature rating has nothing to do with ambient temperature.

Just ordered 16, thank you all again for your help here. At 78K miles, perhaps it's time to change my original plugs?

Last question, how much should I pay or how long does it usually take to have somebody install new plugs? This way I know I'm not getting taken for a ride with the labor price.

Thanks.

its a decent process, i did them my self and while i did them i did the valve covers since its all there and at your mileage your valves are going to be needing to be done so might as well do them all at ones... it took me about 2hrs each side doing spark plugs and doing valve covers everything.... soo

Perfect, thank you! I was quoted 3 hours for all the plugs (I already had my valve covers re-done) so this sounds about right!

Thanks again!
