Renntech headers... quality???

just pulled some Renntech shorties off of a car i got in at my work. the car only had 34000 miles on it so i assume these headers wouldnt have anymore than that since this car was decked out with other renntech parts(pretty sure it was a stage 2 setup)

anyways i got to looking at these and am noticing numerous cracks at most of the flange welds from the outside and inside around the holes. and even some at the tubing welds.

anyone have the same expirience with these and will renntech do anything about it? i assume they wont since i personally didnt purchase them

Gone but not Forgotten 2006 E55 Renntech
I have the shorties with over 50k miles, I have seen / heard no issues.

Were the headers leaking?

i would assume they leaked, but was unable to run the car with them mounted.

The Renntech web site still lists the shorty headers at $4480 / set

At that price, I would expect a private jet to pick them up, and return a NEW set. w/bj

If you think that's expensive, don't tool at the Renntech longtubes (w/ cats)

Renntech Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers for E 55 (W211) With 200 Cell Catalytics

The headers are the perfect complement to our sound and performance exhaust and increase performance an additional +20 HP and +20 LB-FT.
Price: $8,490

i say f*&k renntech, not because I cant afford them, but because their numbers don't justify their prices.
