thats not even the right oil ? I thought its 0w-40... I just get it changed at the dealer almost just as cost effective. 99 bucks even u might save 15 dollars doing it urself, not worth it to me

They're running 5w40 in all the new cars and don't want to be buying bulk in two different weights.

Neither does Mobil 1 but according to Mobil1's blog they say either is fine.

Assuming you are in a 55.

9 quarts oil (really need about 8.5, but as always check the level so you don't overfill)
Qty 2 drain plugs - part number 0009905317
Qty 2 drain plug washers - part number 007603014106
Qty 1 oil filter - part number A0001802609

Don't forget to drain both the front (small) and rear (bigger) sumps. Other than that and the single use drain plugs it is pretty much like any other car I have owned. You have to pull two plastic shields to get to the drain plugs, but that is pretty obvious once you are under the car.

Napa ran this a couple months ago and did my oil change. I will switch to 5w40 since easier to find vs 0w40. N last year used to be 4.95 quart

A note I had made some years ago when checking for my C43 was:

MB switched to 5W40 on non-AMG from 1998-up.
AMG is still using 0W40.

Another tid-bit I was told by a M-B Service Manager was that AMG vehicles prior to 2002 came with Mobil 1 oil, whereas non-AMG did not have Mobil 1 until 2002.

Be careful of the cheap filters included in many of the Oil and Filter bundle sales!!

The paper element filters are only good for half the service interval as the OEM type Polyester Fleece Media. My experience is also that the Fleece filters are much more durable than the paper type that tend to collapse.
