Thumbs up Idea for new part

Since Weistec have come out with the 3.0 whipples for our car, and in the process figured out a way to eliminate the sc clutch, just thought one of the vendors here would step up and make a sc pulley without the clutch. That right there would shave at least ten pounds of weight, and we can go real small .

Funny you posted this. I was talking to a friend a few weeks ago and he said I wonder of you could just eliminate that stock setup and have a billet piece made with no clutch and magnetic coupler that has all the weight. We quickly decided that wasn't worth it and with a whipple out that's the way to go once it's proven or atleast tested.

I don't think the part would be that big of a deal, you just need the correct tuning to go along with it so it doesn't run lean when it would normally have the SC clutch disengaged.

I agree. The mechanical part would be simple. I'm sure someone over the last ten years that these cars have been out has attempted it. I'm also someone here who has been in this scene longer than the ten months I have can chime in about it.

I for one would rather not have the clutch. No clutch , just a bypass valve for efficiency works fantastic for the rest of the blown OEMs
