Probably not a good sign that the center dash gauge is lit up RED in the photos! ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I've heard that these cars are now too many model years old to find warranties for them anymore (at least not cost-effective ones), so that ship has probably sailed for you.
Put a few thou that you would have spent on the warranty into a dedicated bank account for repairs and just spend it as needed. That's probably the best you can do at this point.

The car looks good except the red sign in the dash. 80K Km = 60K miles not bad at all. You just need to make sure what the red sign is. My car shows that when i have the door open and tranny in D position. Forget about ext warranty..... no need.

Too bad you don't have CarMax in your area. They have warranties all their cars. 6 year/125K Miles, whichever comes first.

Best color choice in my opinion!! Like the other people said just make sure that red light isn't something serious and I have the same experience with that red dash but only when in drive and you open door. Also, Isee a big gapbetween the front bumper and fender on drivers side. But other than that it looks like a great car and probably the lowest white pano i've seen for sale. Mine is an 06 with 52,000 miles and i ****ing love it. If all is hood go for it you won't regret one bit I have had mine for 6 years and still love every minute of it.

A few red flags for me:
-Red dash
-Car is at some little side lot, not a Benz dealer
-Has a front plate bracket, so it's not originally from Alberta
There are aftermarket warranties available for this car in Canada. Check out S.A.L.
I bought an 03 S55 with 72000kms last week from my own dealership and put a 5 year/100,000km (Good until Sept 2017 or 172,000kms) warranty on the car through SAL. Retail price on the warranty was $5029.
Never buy one of these cars sight unseen, without a test drive, and a pre-purchase inspection.
