Oil level sensor malfunction

I got the message a few days ago and comes back day after day. I saw that it's a $120+ sensor which is pretty expensive for something I NEVER use, that's what the dipstick is for.

I have a question though, does this sensor ONLY measure oil level? Or does it do more?

haters crazy
Its very easy to replace. It just measures oil level. The car doesn't come with a dipstick

I already have the dipstick. If it only serves to measure oil and that's it then it can wait...lol

one car at a time
I have wondered how accurate the sensor is to begin with...I prefer the old method - dipstick ...

Easy to replace. But if you check it with a dipstick, and don't wanna spend the money and time for a new sensor, then just leave it, no?

Yeah, if I can figure out how to get rid of the message I'd prefer to save myself $120.
