Reliability
Outside of regular maintenance and replacement at end of life (brakes, tires, etc.) has anyone had catastrophic or significant unintended issues with their car? My warranty ends soon and i am deciding on getting a new car or keeping our current one. Wondering how many years the car will run without problems.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Most reliable car I've owned. When I bought the car it had 34K miles on it, now it has 128K and it's been oil changes, tires and lower ball joints. THATS IT

Still on the fence about this myself. I LOVE my car...but might not enjoy paying for parts and labor w/o the warranty. I still might keep it, but might get a more reliable daily driver. Again I still have some time to decide.

A lot of hype about having warranty, and I'm not worried about it.
I have mine for three years now, and just usual repairs. Most recently motor mounts, and during the summer I had all the fluids changed.
Just do regular maintenance and if something breaks fix it.

Have to realize these cars are used, some abused, OK, most abused. Apart from the heater valve, ball joints, pulleys, transmission (102k miles) , mine has been pretty decent. I would not rate it up with a Lexus by any means, but also mine is not a DD, weekend warrior, and mod'd. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed nothing electrical goes out. Knock on wood, so far more reliable than what you would read up on Clublexus.

If your in good with a shop that can fix it, your good. It's very reliable. Keep up with it and she won't let you down.
I got mine with 22,000 and now it's at 53000, and no major problem. And you all know that I run the sh*t out of it.

This was very helpful thank you. i'm just trying to figure out the cost of running a new '12 vs keeping my car - i'm getting 13% off a new '12 and its still significantly cheaper to run my car (clearly my car is six years old so the depreciation is much less).
