Tire width variations between brands for E55
So I just bought new 285/30r18 Hankook V12 tires for the rear and they looked normal and not much bigger at all. Then I came across a post on 285/30r18 General UHP tires looking abnormally huge. They said they measured 12" wide which makes them 305 not 285. I measured my Hankooks and they came out to 265 not 285. So Hankook tires run one size thin and General tires run one size wide. WTF? I guess it is just like buying shoes. So I want a post on what size and brand tires everyone has tried for a W211 E55 and what they think. I will be buying 295/30r18 Hankooks V12s on my next rear set with no fear of rubbing.

AMG E55, Stage 1, Strait Pipe from Primary Cats
Goodyear & Michelin and other U.S. manufactures always run big, most Asian tires Manufactures run small So a Michelin 275 will be the same or bigger then a Hankook 285 etc.
