Quick question regarding S/C pulley removal..

Looking under the hood it seems as if I would have no problem using an impact wrench with a swivel socket to remove the S/C bolt. I have been looking extensively and have heard people raising the motor a bit or disassembling the fan shroud to get to it. Is a gear puller necessary? If I can use the swivel socket, I could knock the job out fairly quick. I have read the be all to end all thread, but all the threads start after the pulley is off. I just like to be thorough before starting a job. Also, it their any room for porting the stock throttle body? I am not sure of the wall thickness to see if there is any room to port and polish. TIA guys.

I tried the swivel socket but their isn't enough room, I ended up removing the radiator shroud ( 10-15min. ). Once the bolt comes out the pulley just slides out.

Through a jack under the motor and lift it until it starts to lift the car, then it's a straight shot. You can have the nut off in 5 mins.
